Asclepius · ἰατρῶν θεός
The Asclepian lineage
To the ancient Greeks, bees were sacred and honey was a gift of the gods. Asclepius, son of Apollo, was one of the most honoured figures of Greek myth, and the street where our shop stands carries his name.
We are at 24 Asklipiou Street, in central Athens. Our name joins the bee and Asclepius: a tribute to our street, to the beekeepers who care for the hives, and to honey, one of the oldest foods of the Greek table.
